Community Educator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Community Health Educator is responsible for working with Washington Parish Residents along with Riverside Medical Center employees to encourage better health and lifestyle changes. Working alongside Riverside’s Community Outreach Director and Social Services Department to aid inpatient, community, and employee health, through existing programs and the start of new programs. The programs will consist of educating on both physical and mental health.

Coordinates relationship management activities and events.


QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, or communications is preferred. A related degree will be considered if supported with equitable work experience.

Two years of experience preferred. Must have highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

Must be able to articulate in written and oral communications.

Must possess ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public.

Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.
