Biography:
Dr. Ramsey is a Harvard fellowship trained and Board-Certified Family Physician and Addiction Medicine Specialist at Riverside Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Avalon University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine with an area of concentration in Addiction Medicine at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY where he also served as Chief Resident and was selected as Family Medicine Resident of the Year. He then completed his fellowship in Addiction Medicine at Boston Childrens Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Ramsey is Founder and Medical Director of Suboxonet, and innovative healthcare solution to the opioid crisis. He is an advocate for greater access to addiction treatments and removing the stigma around substance abuse. He sounded the alarm on the effects of COVID-19 on the opioid epidemic. He is an author, editor, and lecturer. His work is featured in major publications such as Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine, and Los Angeles Tribune. He served as the Alt-Resident Representative to the Board of Directors at the New York State Academy of Family Physicians and a Board Member of its Operations Commission as well as its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Taskforce.
